Lost ChildHood

Lost Childhood
The term “child labour” is often defined as work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical and mental development.
It refers to work that:
  • is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful to children; and
  • interferes with their schooling by:
  • depriving them of the opportunity to attend school;
  • obliging them to leave school prematurely; or
  • requiring them to attempt to combine school attendance with excessively long and heavy work.
Whats Your take on this?

Sanchi Stup

Stupa-monochrome

Sanchi is a small village in Raisen District of the state of Madhya Pradesh, India, it is located 46 km north east of Bhopal, in the central part of the state. Known for its "Stupas", it is the location of several Buddhist monuments dating from the 3rd century BC to the 12th C and is one of the important places of Buddhist pilgrimage.

The monochrome of this historic place, shot by me, allows me to show it in a different perspective. The shot of the main door and the 'stupa' itself in the backdrop balances out the Green, emphasizing the balance of the nature, the continuity of life, the living with the stone., the teaching of the Buddha.
